In 2022, I lead Department of Enterprise Services in creating a campaign to encourage small, diverse, and veteran-business owners in Washington to learn how to become vendors on statewide contracts.
Through a combination of social media posts, govDelivery bulletins, and partner coordination, we were able to increase average event attendance by 150%.
The images utilized the new DES branding guidelines, and our imagery choices were reflective of the audience we wanted to reach.
In the winter of 2021, I lead Washington Student Achievement Council in the design of a GovDelivery email campaign to Pierce County residents, encouraging them to take advantage of free college planning services from Compass. We used research from the State Board of Community and Technical Colleges (SBCTC) to refine our messaging, and used imagery (pictured here) to reflect the diversity of Pierce county residents.
I managed a GovDelivery email campaign to over 170,000 Washington students and families. Our goal was to encourage more Washington students to apply for financial aid and enroll in postsecondary education. I worked closely with program specialists to send relevant and timely information about college applications and financial aid.
We used google analytics to inform content decisions as we learned more about what our audiences find engaging.
In 2021, I worked closely with the Washington Student Achievement Council Executive Director and the Director of Research to convert a plain-text document into a publishable report. This document included graphics, charts, and quotes, allowing our audience to quickly scan the document for key takeaways.
I created a custom template using Adobe InDesign, utilizing styles and master pages for an easy-to-update and accessible document. It was published on wsac.wa.gov and printed for internal distribution.
I designed these handouts to promote statewide contracts to two different audiences at our events: purchasers and vendors. The first handout is for small, diverse, and veteran business owners. The second is for county officials who are interested in using statewide contracts.
